Then you can schedule routine backups of your sql db without having to remember to do it. I set up a gmail account for the express purpose of receiving daily backups from the handful of wordpress sites I manage. I sort of thought about how terrible it would be to lose everything after all the posts. Sometimes that sort of "worst case scenario" thinking inspires me to take action. Luckilly, it's totally easy to do and took hardly any time.
