I should be writing a post for my own blog but here I am writing on yours! Talk about procrastination...
There is a vaaaaaaast trove of info about The Prisoner on the web. It was a cult hit right from the get go. BTW, it was only intended as a 16 or 17 episode series, I believe that's how McGoohan wanted it. And it does get a LOT more bizarre as it goes on -- but, hey, it was the '60s and weird was cool.
Get this -- The Village is actually a Welsh resort called Portmeirion:
