Engtech, I'll try to find that rant on slashdot. I feel your pain. Although I haven't made any serious mistakes, I have felt pretty stupid a few when a commenter points out obvious ones.

Good post. Though I hope you aren't getting all your seo advice from a black-hat site. That's a great way to get blacklisted by Google or other legitimate search engines.

So be sure to hit the white-hat SEO sites like SEOMoz and SEObook if you plan to build a long-term brand/business/entity.
