So Bad They’re Good Movie Contest Winner

Out of the list of horrible movies I watched over the last two weeks, a few were standouts: Plan 9 From Outer Space, Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls, Do Or Die, and Reform School Girls.

  • Best line: "Roger Ebert wrote the screenplay."

    Something to remember whenever we take the pronouncements of movie reviewers too seriously. Just where has that thumb been???
  • The DVD had a commentary track by Ebert himself that I neglected to listen to (I'll have to rent this flick again, or more likely buy it). I'm really curious how he explains this monstrosity...! I don't think "satire" is a good excuse...
  • Ah... You're on to me. I definitely used my knowledge of your tastes in movies and music when suggesting this entry to the contest. I think I'll use the gift certificate to buy the soundtrack CD (I'll loan it to you). Good contest. Can't wait for the next one (if I'm eligible).

  • Haha, wow. This sounds like a terrible, terrible movie...not sure I'll actually watch it, but the details have me strangely intruiged. It sounds like a fantastic train wreck.

    That first video is pretty weird...the dude just keeps rambling. Pretty long for a trailer, eh? And the second one actually made the movie sound good. I could enjoy the music, I think (and I'm a rock/metal type).

    Anyway, congrats to Daniel!! Guess I should be glad I haven't seen so many terrible movies... :D
  • Mike I think without the music the movie would have been much different. One funny aspect of the music are the lipsynched performances.
