The theater is a real gem in Palo Alto!

Re: Movie Notes: The Stanford Theatre

Fully agree. By the way, seeing a silent movie at this venue is just the best ever - the Mighty Wurlitzer organ sounds great when played by one of the keyboard masters who ply their trade here, and David Packard gets nothing but the best possible prints for showing off the joys of silent films. The theater is clean, quiet, and impeccably beautiful. Comfy chairs, reasonably-priced vittles and excellent acoustics round out the experience. This is the way it's supposed to be!
