Webomatica: Movie Notes: Ghost Rider

Nice review - I liked the play-by-play moments, but I have to say I found the movie itself so bad I got distracted and used StumbleUpon through half of it :)

Come on...Ghost Rider was no where near bad enough to be entered in the category of "so bad they are good movies". Too harsh. Ghost Rider is what Ghost Rider is - a kid's movie.

Trust me if you have kids and have to sit through kids movies this is actually a shining light. There are only so many Animated and Cartoon movies that you forced to watch against your will. I would rather do anything than watch another one of those types of movies ever, ever again.

Besides Ghost Rider has Nicholas Cage in it so automatically it must be good (except for "Leaving Las Vegas" - which maybe you did like?)

Well Sue, if it's any comfort to you, Ghost Rider doesn't look like it's going to win the contest. It was too good to be truly bad.

ROFL but still think it should have not made the list.

Will ask my friends and see if I can get them to come past and give their thoughts. Personally Nemo, Happy Feet, Shrek should been here :)

Come on, the worst movie of all time would have to be "Dances With Wolves" - it's not even a contest!
  • webomatica · 2 years ago
I didn't enter it in the contest, some reader did. I'm just reviewing them...

Cool to see my entry made it for review and stirred up some controversy to boot!

I watched this movie with my girlfriend and an 8 year old. The 8 year old liked it but I've seen much better "comic book" movies that he enjoyed also. The acting, directing, etc. was just bad in this one.
  • Sue Waters · 2 years ago
Oh come on James - you need to watch more kids movies to realise that this one should have won an academy award.

However I do agree Webomatica should put some of the films in that others like because it is fun debating the fact that they are good/bad. Please put Nemo as a worst time movie.

Heh - well I had to limit myself to how many bad films I watched (or I'd go insane) so I had a cut off deadline to nominate movies for the so-bad-its-good contest which has already passed.

However since reaction has been pretty amusing I might turn it into a running theme, during which I may watch some movies people suggest...

Talking of 'Dances with Wolves' - we watched that in History at school. That's odd, isn't it? I'm pretty sure wasn't factual...

While I did enjoy some Kevin Costner films - Waterworld is a really, really bad movie.
  • Sue Waters · 2 years ago
Honestly though you can not compare Kevin Costner to Nicholas Cage. Pleaaaaase rather watch Nicholas Cage any day :) So can't really comment on Kevin Costner's films since normally I avoid watching them!

I did like "Ghost Rider", but, then again, I used to read the comic book and I don't have high expectations for anything coming out of Hollywood.

I remember when I watched Ghost rider for the first time. I enjoyed the motorcycle saddlebags this guy had so much, that on the second day I went to the closest store and brought some for myself as well. They fit perfectly to my motorcycle and I am really pleased because of that.
