HD-DVD or Blu-Ray? XBOX or Apple TV?

I'll be the first to admit I'm a newbie when it comes to all this HD TV stuff. So it seems there are two competing formats, HD-DVD and Blu-Ray.     Get a book. The format is fairly standardized and they always say the book is better than the movie anyway ;-)

    I have the Xbox 360 and I'm still struggling with which side to choose. I'm definitely feeling the momentum swing to Blu-ray - plus Apple is behind them. Ideally Apple will launch an Apple TV 2.0 in the fall that's a kind of Mac Mini hybrid as we've discussed before with a Blu-ray player built in. I'm already sold.

    I'm an xbox user and a fan. I'm not sure if Apple TV matches Xbox in terms of usability and compatibility advantages.. but buying two would really be a luxury on my part.. so i guess i'll just stick with my xbox 360
