i used to watch Gilmore Girls and was a fresh and funny serie but I somehow lost contact with the serie

Rory didn't take a year off from Yale, she missed one semester.
The Independence Inn burned down, not the Dragonfly.
And this is season 7, not season 8.
Oh, and Jared Padalecki and Milo Ventimiglia (Dean and Jess) are both signed to other shows, so there's no chance they're returning this season.
