    i still cant believe there is only a slight chance gilmore girls will have a season 8
    ive been watching from the start so im still hoping it will continue,

    I feel that the producers and writers should do what's best to maintain the integrity of the show. Many shows lose quality past the seventh season, e.g., Charmed, and I would HATE if that were to happen to Gilmore Girls. I also think that Rory's role is sort of done: She's the bridge that both links Lorelai to her past. Lorelai needs to get things straight with Luke.

    Hi Henry, Raven, Irive, it seems the show was cancelled as of May 3, so no Season Eight. That leaves two more episodes. The season finale (and the show finale) was filmed before the decision was made. So, I'm not sure if this last show will be the most satisfying.

    It seems there will be a lot of sad Gilmore fans out there, as the reaction on this previous post is very lengthy, and the informal poll I've been running here on Webomatica has an overwhelming majority of folks wanting a Season 8.

    so many people I know love that show, why would they want to cancel one of the best shows ever! I also watch american idol, but if gilmore gilrs is on i watch it instead. why would they do this?

    Boy I love enthusiasm!!!!!!!! Unfortunately looks like this decision is final.

    I don't watch American Idol because it's on at the same time as Gilmore Girls. I don't even know who Blake Lewis is. :)

    OMG this was one of the very few awsome shows on tv. Along with 7t heaven. These shows were in the small population of shows that did not use prefuse language have violence and sexual content in it. I am outraged!!! I have followed this show since the beginning and this is my faviorate show... but I am disappointed by the ending I was left confused and questioning?? Rory and Logan??over?and then loreli and luke good josh wow they kissed I mean think about it loreli skips from luke to chris almost every season...and a kiss thats promising.Rory with Barac Obama what about after the election at leat give her a stble job and a guy!!!

    okay well ive watched gilmore girls since season 1! they cant jus end it like this they should totally have a 8th season leaving loreili and luke wit a kiss is dumb like what happens next...and wit rory what will happen with her theres alot of story in there i think they ended it pretty dumb but i thnk they should continue gilmore girls!

    I love GG and when i found out that the season finale was the series end i was disappoint as i think that they are still some need to knows esp what happens b/w luke n loreli and if they got together i think it'll be great to end with a wedding!

    I would love to see an 8th season, anything beyound that may be difficult but i'm routing for one more season to satisfy my GG addition....otherwise i'll just have to settle for reruns!

    What a great series it turned out to be, addicting from the start to end :)

    what an anticlimatic ending --- couldn't they throw us a bone. No marriage for Luke and Lorelai no engagement for Rori. Even Lane's situation was left up in the air.

    I think there should be an eightth season I started watching around the 4th or 5th season, and now I can't stop watching it. I have missed episodes from not being home, but I wrote them down so I know which ones I missed so when reruns come I can watch. I also watch it on ABCFamily at 5:00 if I am home. Gilmore Girls is addictive and one you start watching you can't stop.

    We have been watching it all from the beginning, going though all the up and downs with the girls......you must have an 8th season to show what is going on in lorelies and lukes life......does she remain single forever, or does she finally get married and have a baby with luke........Rory can visit......we need to see lorelie happy....

    I totally loved Gilmore girl. It was the only show that I made sure I tune in. I saw them grow together, apart and then back agian. I was in shock when I found out it was coming to an end. It would be great if they brought them back. I don't kmow about yall, but Iwould want to see one of them get married and have a kid. That would be interesting!

    There needs to be a Season 8. I grew up with this show. I'm now a junior in college and go to the Gilmore Girls every time I need a little pick-me-up. I know it's lame, but it's true. I'll have to resort to watching the reruns over and over again!

    i hate that they are ending gilmore girls it is my favorite show and i am probably pretty sure that i am gilmore girls # 1 fan i am so mad that they ended it because it is the best show ever they should put it back on the CW and if they dont i will be very very very sad once i found out about it i was so sad. my life was pretty much about gilmore girls it was and will always be what i talk about. they should put another season on like they did with 7th heaven. that would be so awesome i would cry because i would be so happy. the CW should put gilmore girls back on the air for one last season!

    After all the of use have worked for your a just going to stop it that is disappointing use should go one last time and go out with a bang e.g. charmed was ending in 7 but terrible ending so they did 8 with the best ending you could get but end it fully happily not on a hanger or any normal episode make us believe isn’t finish and put a smile on our faces do it for all use have worked for don't through it away now!!!

    gilmore girls should have a season 8 and end alot better then season 7 .i mean come on lorilie and rorry ended up depressed for the rest of there lives without logan and luke.no offence but that was the worse ending ever.please make a season 8 and let rory and lorilie get married to luke and logan.PLEASE FINISH THE STORY!!!!!!!!

    We NEED a season 8 or atleast a movie. There was not enough closure for me, and if you have been following the show you should know that it was a great season finale, and a bad series finale. We need our Girls back! Give us a season 8!!!!! Please? :-D

    I still can't believe that they cancelled my favorite tv show ever!! Especially after so many people fought for season 8 with the Great8Mandate.

    I am hooked on this show, i've watched it since the beginning and i love following the life of these girls Loreli and Rory gilmore are like my life, they are really addicting their friendship is so close. Gilmore Girls would be nothing without the 2 of them together. I dont understand why they ended it with a confusing kiss , and a downfall for rory. the 8th season should be empowering both lor and rory.
    They cant end it they just cant, i've been looking everywhere to see if it was coming bak. i saw a commerical that said they were coming bak is this tv lying to me?

    I just got hooked and have netflixed my way through the entire series. It is sooo addicting and I am beyond sad that this story ends. I could totally handle the series contnuing through #8...why not just show us Lorelei and Luke, Sookie and all the others....Rory can always bring a sense of the world outside of Stars Hollow to the show...she has done that through her Yale journey anyway. There is still a strong story line left! Keep going and get some contracts negotiated!!!! This is a special perspective on politics, relationships and love! These writers are special and found the "zone" to touch the world in. It works!

    I can't believe they have canceled the show!! I watched all throughout my college life, and recently graduated and was unable to watch seasons 6 or 7 because of the CW thing. I can't believe they've left the show with unresolved issues. They really need to get a season 8 going to clarify some things. This is totally unfair and too quick (they announced the cancellation with two shows left of the 7th season). BRING IT BACK CW/WB!!

    ther needs to be another season gilmore girls is an amayzing show all in its self; not to mention the great actors Lauren Grahm Is to me by far the most talented actress her act as Loreali is outstanding she is beautful and to me this show is the greatest.
    there needs to be another season to tie up all loose ends between Luke and Loreali they need to get married like they should have gotten before christopher came back in to the picture ( dont get me wrong christopher was a great asset to the show at that but you cant just stick to great looking characters like Luke and Loreali and make them come as far as they did to just end it the way it did . they should not have let it go as far as they did and teas all the adoring fans the way that they did with the two there needs needs to be something even if it is not a full season 8 (although that would be great
    ANd i know all great shows have got to come to an end at some point but this show is one of the best shows out there at least in my opinion

    There needs to be a season 8 there's so many quetions that are lefted wide open and noone knows the answers! Like does Loreali get to Luke. I have every season on dvd and watch them over and over again it's a great show! Please make the 8 season PLEASE IT NEEDS TO GO ON!

    Gilmore Girls is the best t.v. show in the world they can't just stop it after the 7th season!!! They have to keep on making more season until I know what happens with luke and lorelai. And rory she needs to marrie logan they are the perfect couple and rory needs to stay in starshallow!!!!!!!!!

    you guys maybe if we came up with some ideas for the producers for season 8 they might think this over maybe they couldnt think of many more episodes. see what i was think is that they should (in an episode) have logan finally notice that rory is the one so he calls her and tells her that he thinks they should try the whole long distance relationship and rory says okay to it because she also knew he was the one thenfor the other part luke and lorelli should talk about there relationship..... but thats only like one episode you guys need to come up with a lot of ideas and some how we should email these to the producers or someone that can give these to them if u really think about it we can do it i know its really late in the run but everyone misses gilmore girls so come on guys lets get stared!

    Bethanie, I couldnt agree more! I cried when Logan left and i think he should call or suprise at her work or something like that and say he cant be without her and he will love her no matter the distance and that he cant let Rory go! Yes, and this lorelai and luke situation, i agree! They ended the last season with SOOO many questions and its dissapointing! This cannot be the end, It just cant! Gilmore Girls is THE ONLY SHOW got addicted to and now, its gone! This cant be it! We HAVE to do something!!

    OMGGG, do they only have season 7 in other countries?? ive been looking everywhere for season 7 and i cant find it, its so upsetting, ive jst read through all the comments and i think we have a winner, thers no way you can quit gilmore girls, i started watching it early this yr and have not missed one episode and ive got all the seasons frm 1 to 6 cuz i couldnt find 7 but i watch it everyday over and over, pleasepleaseplease have a season 8! i havnt seen season 7 so i still kinda want rory and jess to get together but logan is gd for her to, i hate mitchem tho, stupid dad. anywayz please make a season 8!

    I really think there should be an 8th season because i got the 7th season for xmas and i just this day finished watching it so i watched from the very first to the last episode and i love them all!!!!!! But since the last episode has an opened ending i really think you guys should make an 8th season so we can see what happens w/ rory and lorelai!!!!!!!!!!!!! also if you don't make an 8th season I will be really mad and upset plus this sounds weird but i look up to rory even though thats not who she is in real life and if theres no more rory or lorelai what will i do then. also i watched all the episodes they show on tv like 3 time thats why i asked for gilmore girls for xmas and now that I'm done w/ the 7th season what am i suppose to do?????? that is why i think you should make an 8th season and a 9th and so on.

    I REALLY REALLY think there should be an 8th season of gilmore girls even if it may be nearing the end of a good thing, the way that season 7 was ended just leaves it open to what ever and although i am sure every one got a hint at what happened i really want to see Luke and Loreali get married it was 7 years in the making i think that it is owed to the two characters
    and as much as i love gilmore girls it seens that the character or Rory is bing cut off more and more as she moves forward with her life, which is to be expected now being an adult but it may be time for an ending but i still believe that there should just be one more season just to tie up all lose ends
    plus gilmore girls with out Alexis Bledel is just wrong her and Lauren Grahm are just amayzing together.

    I have waited years to see the end gilmore girls i live in Australia and channel 9 took it of on again, then miss all the best parts. when they brought it back. By then my friend had brought the whole 7 seasons. last night we finish it, i think season 8 are on the cards they didn't finish it well, it left too many Questions??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? aLike were is lor and luke's wedding something she has always dream of. as Luke is her true love this is want she been waiting for year, that's why it took so long to get together and our rory needs that job show off how great she is, and where's her man that's not finished yet? missssssssssssssssssss youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu forrrrrrrrrrr everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr gilmore girls.
