I LOVE Moonraker. You can't deny that Jaws had an awesome part in this movie! He played an awesome villain. And yes, the action sequences are great - Even the hokey laser battle in space had a fun factor because it reminded me of a cool video game! Moonraker is also the first Bond movie I was exposed to as a kid so there's some nostalgia value in there as well!

I think its a shame u chose such early stuff.
don't get get me wrong, I love the early work, but they dident really break out and become the phenominal group they are till they put out some of there later work.

Sail to the moon has to be one of the most beautiful songs in the world. its dissapointing to know it was overlooked.

it's obvious you have been listening to radiohead for "several months" simply by your song selection.

had you have been following them for several years, like the majority of fans, I'm sure ur list would look dramatically different

Yeah I have WP-SuperCache going on which might be delaying the comments, which I find kinda odd since Disqus is a separate service. I'll have to dig into that a bit...

Ditto - man, I remember reading my first issue of MacAddict. In the letters section, a guy said "my girlfriend just bought a PC, what do I do?". Their answer was: dump her.

It was that kind of spirit that pulled me in - I really miss that. In many ways, it's no longer a community anymore.

Ha!! Looks like I've got some work to do (just kidding).

I was prepared to find every old comment I ever made, and claim them one by one...am pleasantly surprised that it was much easier than that.

Edit: Also, if you're using a WordPress caching plugin, you might want to exclude the comments somehow. I came here to find Papa's comment saying "posted 0 minutes ago" (it now says "1 hour ago"), and your comments not even here.

Yeah, you're right - I had a bunch of comments that I made using the
default blog email address which is different than my usual commenting
one. Just claimed them. And MacAddict - I totally let my subscription
lapse for their new version - MacLife. I preferred the unruly version
from many years ago.

Hey wow. Since I've only ever used one email address here, I just had to find one post I commented on, and claim that one. It then claimed all posts I made at this site with the same email address.

Looks like you've got some to do, though. Check out the post that helped me find this place - don't know why, but I was Googling old MacAddict staff members, wondering what ever happened to them.

I almost hope there is no MacBook Pro upgrade, as I'm not quite ready to spend the money on a new model, but it does seem to be that time. I think the outer case is definitely due for an overhaul; while I agree there won't be any touchscreen or other crazy features, I do expect the pro notebooks to finally get a new look, more akin to the MacBook Air (dark, inset keyboard, larger trackpad, maybe slightly thinner at the edges, etc.) It's been several years, after all, since the pro portables have been updated in the looks department (since the G4 days, in fact), and consolidating into one keyboard style across the line of notebooks would save money. The MacBook Pros are the only Macs left without the new separated-key style keyboards, after, all.

My friend bought a laptop 5 years ago that you could turn the screen around completely, refold and use with a pen like a proper notebook (and no it wasn't a mac). Already been done. Of course, with Apples new budget from ipod revenue they will try all sorts of stuff. The vast majority of which will just be old ideas with new iwrappings.

Yeah I guess I missed the implications of mutli touch on a laptop - it would be pretty slick to see Apple's take on the "meh" Tablet PC. But for similar reasons as above, I hope a future MacBook still keeps a traditional keyboard and have the touch screen "transform" to cover it, or have the track pad be a little touch screen - or a dock for an iPhone ... drool ...

I must admit, if Apple releases a tablet laptop thing, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat. I've always wanted to use that type of technology. I could see myself using it as my "super-portable" device on trips for email, browsing, crazy psycho stuff and other cool things I can't think of right now. Of course, if I had to do anything "big", I'd always have my MBP or my gaming PC.

I've seen this Casino Royal a few times and I just love, I mean I have a man crush on this song. Chris Cornell has an amazing voice. IMO its number 2, behind Live and Let Die.

Friendfeed looks to me like another social network site. People often say "not another social network site" Despite the big numbers of chat and social network sites there are only a handfull of well known ones so if a smaller player can make it in such a competitive market I say well done

RDJr. is on fire right now! I can't wait to check out this flick just to see his performance. It's a shame that Hollywood comedies are such a hit-and-miss affair. I guess it's a very difficult art form. Stiller has made his career with movies like this, but a lot of them feature the kind of unsophisticated, dumbed down humor that fails to entertain me.
