Webomatica: Blog = Dog?

Great analysis! Put this in the "everything I learned about X, I learned from my dog" bucket:

Thanks... I tweaked your search string to get it to show up reasonably correctly.

That's hilarious stuff. I can't believe you made it thru the entire analogy while making sense throughout the entire thing... good job :) So many dog-related items just begging for a metaphor: boarding, leg-humping, letting them outside, keeping them off the couch--could go on forever!

Gee... thanks. I wish I could have worked some more stuff in there, like teaching old dogs new tricks or fetching the paper.

I love it! Especially the part about spam comments being fleas. I guess we could all agree that blogs equal dogs in so many ways.
  • webomatica · 2 years ago
Yeah... dogs could = many other things, I'm realizing.

Hey... did you ever notice that "dog" spelled backwards is "god", and "blog" spelled backwards is... "golb".

I agree (even tho I'm late to find this entry) with the comments above - great analogy between dogs and blogs! :)

I actually found this entry by checking around for blogs and dog owners, which surprisingly there are quite a few of online(!) - ie. I popped the website field here with the one I check out every once in a while - specifically the blog entries written by St Bernard owners, so I can see what others are saying about their own St Bernard . The internet has certainly made it much easier for people to find each other these days. NO nmeed to go to the dog parks. Just do a google search. lol

Yeah I want to set up a dog blog portal. I have a cat blog portal called MyCatBlogLog

And, there's always Catster and Dogster.

Interesting analogy. I especially like the point about picking up after your dog, or fixing mistakes or factual errors on your blog. Something everyone should do!

Nice to meet you! I begin blog and make a dog-related collection of links recently.
Your page linked, too. Would you link my page if you like? Thanking you in advance.

Your advice is sound. A bored, untrained dog will obliterate your home and furniture. Basic training is a must and if you dont have time to do that then you should not get one.

Old dogs can certainly learn new tricks, people say that when they are just to lazy to put more time into their pets and if they are bored of them :(
