I've been using flickr CC and wikimedia commons for Harold. Followed up with a Google Image search for something more obscure.

I have to accept the fact that Harold will never legally be a book. :)

There was another stock photo site I tried that had free images but after using it for a week I never found anything good from it.

i've found that creative commons search on flickr to be a really good source of images. wikimedia commons too. i make regular use of both at my day job (istockphoto too).
