Webomatica: “Beme” Inspires Some New Blog Vocabulary

  • Dan · 2 years ago
"Clog: A blog devoted to cats, or one run by a cat fanatic"

    What about 'mog blog'?
  • webomatica · 2 years ago
Heh, I never heard the term "mog" for cat before. That's a good one. MyMogBlogLog has a nice ring to it...
  • Dan · 2 years ago
Well, I'm nothing if not a provider of cat synonyms.

I like the idea of MyMogBlogLog and MyDogBlogLog - set them up, then get them to do battle with one another.
  • webomatica · 2 years ago
Ha ha, well, I was sort of mulling that over as well. Obviously I have a running count of the number of cat and number of dog avatars on MyBlogLog. I think the dogs are winning.
  • Dan · 2 years ago
Yeah... well, I have two dogs on my avatar (hard to make out, but they're there, pulling me along). But the cat still rules our household.
  • Joy · 2 years ago
These are great! I'm not so witty. A blog devoted to dogs would = a Dog? Dlog? I don't know.

clog - as in the sink is clogged
    IE: http://catsinsinks.com/

masterbating: me thinks you meant to include an i between the ba and t?

    One I coined was blogamaggedon.

That's when we hit the full tail swing of push button content publishing... everyone who wants to try blogging has tried it, but most people have given it up because it's too hard to try to get an audience when attention is split so narrowly amongst all the bloggers.
  • engtech · 2 years ago
Sorry. I meant to write "Blogamageddon"

I guess you can't take credit for a beme if you can't spell it properly.
  • webomatica · 2 years ago
Heh, engtech that was a great read. I found another cat site I forgot about (infinite cat).

Joy, DogBlog makes sense to me...
  • MG Siegler · 2 years ago
    ha diggpression...I know about that...
  • webomatica · 2 years ago
MG I think you should be cured (for a while at least) with that dollar coin story! :)
  • MG Siegler · 2 years ago
    ha ha, quite true...
but I didn't submit it, so maybe that's the cure...

    Some good ones here: http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/02/16/dell-pays-...

    wypo - web typo
    weblogism - new web neologism

There are many definitions and symptoms commonly described as "scalp infections". There are in fact quite a few quite different reasons why your scalp may be sore, itchy, inflamed burning red or infected.
